New from Michigan's "West Coast"

Just wanted to "check in". We have had our '88 Excella, 32', for 11 years but never sought out the Airstream community. With retirement somewhere on the horizon, it's about time we joined up! We originally did a lot of interior refurbishing and I am debating about another round of major "redo" work on the interior (appliances, bath, etc). I'm sure I will be posting lots of questions for the many experienced DIYers. We have a big trip coming up this summer to the Grand Tetons National Park (time for new brakes!). Can't wait! Michigan was very snowy in February and I'm ready for summer and golf! Thanks for the opportunity to participate.

Sunset Coast, Welcome to the forums! The best place to get answers to all your Airstream questions. FYI there is an upcoming Midwest forums rally in Illinois in June. Check the thread... 2007 Moraine View Rally. Ed

Hello Sunset Coast,

Welcome to the Airstream Forums and the ranks of Airstreaming Michiganders. We are fellow west coasters and glad you joined in. I would like to also invite you to join us at the Midwest Forum Rally June 8-10 at Moraine View Recreation Area in Illinois. This will be our first ever rally and we have heard very nice things about this group of people. Towdaddy and I (Mrs. Towdaddy) are just down the interstate from you in Kalamazoo.

Please post pictures of your silver family member. Glad to have you as part of our "little" group!

Vickie (Mrs. Towdaddy)

An Airstream owner and a golfer too? Tell me you're a beer distributor too. Ah, the perfect best friend. Welcome to the Forums. Post all the questions you want, but first, post some pictures of your AS. We crave pictures.

Big Thanks for the welcome

Many thanks for everyone's welcoming posts. We are checking into the Midwest rally on June 8-10. This could work out well for us ... a chance for a "shake-down" run (hopefully with new brakes and a great weekend) prior to travelling out West for several weeks. I will post pictures as soon as we get back to Michigan ... we're spoiling the grandkids out in Seattle this week. Doug

Welcome from the "sunrise" side of the lake. We've owned our aluminum dream for a year now and have found the observations and advice on this site to be invaluable as we work to maintain our Overlander.
