Welcome from Colorado: You have a nice full sized Airstream that will make a comfortable travel trailer for you folks. We have a 86 Limited 34' that has been in the family since new. It has seen a lot of miles and a lot of country.
I'd recommend you do a systematic evaluation of every detail in your trailer and make a list of things you find that need attention. Are the tires new? Is the axle and brakes in good shape? Any plumbing leaks? Do all the appliances work? And keep going down to every switch, light, window, door, cabinet and the like. Airstreams have unique bodies and frames. But the major systems are standard RV fair such as a furnace, or converter, or toilet, or water pump, or fridge and the like. RV techs can handle many of those things.
