hello guys,

My wife and I are Airstream enthusiasts from Drenthe, the Netherlands.
We own a 1978 31ft sovereign thats still in Maryland. i have only stayed in it for a few days after picking it up, and loved every minute of it.
The interior is in near perfect condition , the exterior is fair.

We are still working on shipping it over to europe.
(tips are very welcome)
we have been reading the forums all afternoon, and love 'em.

Welcome
"Keep coming back" I don't know where you are in the shipping process, however there is a lot of information available on the forums about shipping to Europe. Just do a search at the top of the page and "Bob's your uncle".
You'll be happy to know there are at least two forums members who live in the Netherlands, try Remcolent he lives in Vledder, Drenthe if I have that written that correctly. I can't remember the second one was. None the less I hope you have a great experience with the shipping.

Welcome! I hope your A/S experience is everything you hope it to be. I'm sure you will have some challenges in shipping, but others have done it and I'm sure can give you a few pointers.

AirStream Life

As new owners ourselves, my wife and I (at the recommendation of a Forum member) subscribed to AirStream Life. It is a wonderful magazine with lots of history, tips, "traps" to avoid and helpful information. It helps take the edge off when I cannot get to my AS in person!

Welcome to the Forum.

Thank you !

thank you for your warm welcome
Its good to see so many AS lovers here
I posted the pictures of our sovereign here :

http://www.macnetic.net/airstream/

I discovered yesterday that my trailer suffers from the frame separation disease. something the ebay-salesperson forgot to mention.
i understand its repareble, but it seems smart to have that done in the usa , before shipping it. so we will probably wait a while befofre shipping it

regards,

Axel & Annieta

Axel,

nice trailer!!! Wow, I love Rear Bedroom models!! Our next one will have one for sure...

It should be quite easy to fix the seperation issue on a RB Model as you don´t have to take out the bathroom, just remove the lower interior panels and fix it... OK might sound easier than it is... Do you have a Service Manual for your year and model? If not try to get one, either from Secreterial Service, ebay or from the Airstream online Store (probably best solution...). If you bring the trailer over to europe and need help fixing things let me know! I am pretty sure Remco will help as well.

Keep us updated...

Björn
