New Argosy Owner

Hello everyone! My husband and I are the new owners of a 1978 Argosy Minuet 6.0, as of last weekend. She's a beauty on the outside, but has a long road ahead to bring her inside back. We are excited about this project. We've owned a travel trailer before, but this if our first Airstream. I'm sure we will have lots of questions. I've been doing some reading and am amazed at the wealth of info available. I'm also looking forward to the sense of community here.

I have pictures of our "Tilly the travel trailer" but I'm still unsure how to post them. Working on that. I did manage to get an avatar uploaded.

Welcome to the Airstream and Argosy family.
You will have fun redoing the inside to make it your own.
I have a 1974 28' and 1978 6.0 minuet. The vin list here on the forums lists one as Tiger and one as GoecamperAS. ????
I have totally redone the 28' because of rotted floor. But the 78 6.0 minuet has an aluminum floor so there was no need to totally redo. Only had to do minor repairs to get it ready for camping. However I know it needs a new axle and I may be changing the layout this summer to better meet our needs.
Do not hesitate to ask any questions that may come up. Lots of knowable people here on the forums.

Judging a person does not define who they are, it defines who YOU are.

Hi Julie and Tim..welcome, congrats

I have a 1973 20' Argosy. I had the interior customized. You can see a few photos in the member photo section.

Anyway, the consensus is that running gear ( tires, bearings, brakes , and maybe axle ) are the first things to address. Cushions and Drapes last.

The fridge should be right up there with the first things to examine, if it is the original fridge. Let us know, so we can give you the lowdown. ( I realize that you are not a newbie )
