Just purchased a 2008 23ft safari will pick it up Dec. Also purchased a 2008 silverado extended cab v8 full tow package. Looking forward to getting on the road and seeing other airstreamers. Had a 17ft Casita and up graded to the best from what I'm told. I will be using a reese WHD and Sway bar. Should be ok. any comments? Rob

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.
It sounds like you should be OK with your TT/TV combo. Learn how to use your Reese system properly. Weight distribution is important. Learn how to do it right.

Thanks for the advise. I miss spoke I'm getting the reese duel cam from colonial airstream. I'm letting them set up the truck and Airstream. That way I hope it is all done right. You are correct about one thing...This complete setup was big $$$$$$$. But I'm retired and I told the kids we are spending the money, they get the house. See you on the road. We are spending Jan at Disney world in Fla.

Welcome, since you are spending Jan at Disney you may want to stop by the Can Opener Rally see the links below for details. You will love Fort Wilderness.

Way to go Rob. There's a wonderful world of Airstream owners out there. Disney with the Airstream sounds very appealling.

It worked that way with my purchase 26 months ago. The Airstream dealership (Fogdall in Iowa) knew what they were doing! I suspect you're getting the HP Dual Cam -- it's so easy to work with -- really not that many more bucks than a generic friction anti-sway. Especially considering how much better it is! Happy Airstreaming!! See you at a rally.

nice combo
AWW RIIITE!
Cool rig. Enjoy.
Casita was our first also.It was fun. Popped a lot of rivits. Fiberglass doesn't hold them too well. It was so light we forgot it was there. Bounced it over a lot of railroad tracks, curbs, and potholes. Just as I was learning to back it properly, discovered Airstream. Gotta learn to rivet!
The 23er is an easy tow too. Hit the road-Travel-have fun!
