New Airstream owners - Bambi Quiksilver

Hey everybody out there in Airstream land!

My wife and I just recently took the plunge and purchased a lightly used 2006 Bambi Quiksilver for 34K. We have had one trip so far in it, it is real nice and our 2 mini dashounds love it!

We have always loved the look and features of Airstream and when we saw the Quiksilver in person we were hooked.

We live in NE Alabama and plan to take trips to the Florida panhandle, Tennessee, NC and some of the nice state parks here in Alabama.

We tow the Quiksilver with a 2007 GMC Acadia, it is rated to tow 4500lbs and we have the weight distribution bars and anti sway bar on the hitch as well.

The trailer is so comfy and everyone was friendly at the first park we stayed at in Nashville, TN. We had several people stop and tell us how cute the Quiksilver is!

Still discovering stuff, going out this weekend in it too discover more.

Welcome to the forums! Glad you're enjoying your new Quicksilver - I just love the interiors on those.

Welcome to the Forum. We purchased our 06 QS last Aug. and have over 50 nights and 6,000mi so far. We really like the Silver Potato as our friend calls it (does kind of resemble a foil wrapped baked potato). Our two Yorkies think it is swell as they consider it their "casa de los poros" (Dogs house). We are not the cooking type so the QS fits our needs really well without givign up space to a kitchen. The frig. is large enough for snacks, to go boxes and the required beer/wine. I usually use the RV Park facilities but we did do 4 days of elect. only dry camping at a state park in Iowa with no trouble. Use it, you'll love it!
