New '59 Traveler Owners

We picked up our new '59 Traveler yesterday. The PO restored/renovated it several years ago and it still has most of its original appliances and cabinets including the Princess stove and Marvel fridge. All the windows are original except for the passenger side window next to the door which had been removed to acommodate an AC. The window no longer opens and i would like to replace it with a new (ideally original) window that opens. What is the best resource for sourcing used original parts? Its a rare trailer so i have little hope of finding an original Traveler window. Down the road I would like to pick up a second project trailer but for now its nice to be able to enjoy our AS from day one. Will post pics soon.

Welcome klhbeetle and fellow Denverite ... welcome to the forums. I hope you find the missing window. You might start here: VintageAirstream - Suppliers but I am sure there will other recommendations for you from other members, the wealth of information here is endless. Not owning a vintage unit, I am kind of clueless. Wendy

Actually Jim went to the RV Salvage just a couple of weeks ago to find a fridge shelf - you just might find one at 5 Star, it's off 122nd & Brighton Rd (I think). You could spend hours there, they absorbed Cherokee a couple of years ago, spent many an hour rummaging there for 'other brand' items ...

Seems like other 'Streamers' might have found a thing or two there ...

Welcome! We have a '59 too.

Do you know what specific part of your window is missing? Could you take a picture?

Thanks for the replies, wow RV salvage looks promising! We'll definitely check it out. I've been meaning to take a bunch of photos to post, will take some of the window. It's the small window just next to the door.
