Never say never.....

Ask me two years ago would we buy a TT, or more specifically, an AS, and my quick reply would have been not just no, but hell no. Well, I ate those words, for sure, and glad I did. We purchased our AS in April and love it.

For years, our post retirement plan was to relo back to the southeast US, get a place with room to park a large MH, get a coach, then travel North America with our Golden Retriever, Stuart, included. We were able to retire a little early, two years ago, but need to hang out on the left coast a bit longer, so after a year of "adjusting" to retirement, my wife suggested we look at TT's so we can start RVing now and since we already have a good TV. Who could argue when your wife says lets get a new toy? Certainly not me.

I was amazed by the amount of online Airstream specific information and spent many hours as a guest viewing this site. Thank you to all the contributors and subject matter experts. It made us feel comfortable and confident with our AS decision. We have learned a lot in our 5 months of ownership and 5 trips along the west coast, primarily that we really don't need multiple slideouts, 2 bathrooms, ice makers, dishwasher, storage compartments the side of cargo shipping containers, and so on.

Lovin Life in our AS.

Hello from Colorado: Welcome to the Airstream owner's community. Congratulations on your retirement. Having Airstream adventures in retirement is great. We love it. Gypsies lifestyle.

Good idea to head southeast. You can explore the area with your new Airstream and see if someplace suits your fancy. Southern hospitality is a real phenomenon. You might like the people there quite well.

Similar experience! Never thought we would buy an AS but so happy we did. I agree (now) that slideouts are not necessary.

Happy Trails!
