Need Help Choosing An Airstream Model

My husband and I are looking to buy an Airstream travel trailer this year -- with a view toward full-timing it within the next couple of years. So we know we need a larger one to have enough room for daily living activities. In looking at some of the floor plans, I think that we would prefer one with a large single bed in the back of the trailer, bathroom in the middle, and kitchen / living area up front. If we could find one that had a "convertible space" in the middle (I've seen some with a pair of twin beds mid-trailer), that would be great -- as we could stand a little "office area" (we'll be running a business on the road) and/or someplace to stash a litter box (two cats coming with us). And I am attracted to both the price and design of the vintage models -- but I'm not sure which ones we should be looking at. I can't seem to find a comprehensive list of all the models, their descriptions, and possibly a floorplan. Any advice or resources anyone could point me toward would be much appreciated. Thanks!

If you are looking for a new Airstream, go to Airstream, Inc. :: Travel in Style and look under the products section at the 28' Safari Slideout. It has a front sofa, a slideout dinette and a rear queen bed. Nice layout. If you are looking for used, last year I saw an '03 Classic 28' with split bath and rear queen bed that I felt had an excellent layout. As far as mid twin beds are concerned, at 6', they are too confining if in the middle of the trailer. It appears that a rear bedroom with twins as well as a front bedroom with twins has a little more length.

good info on the newer models at the company website, but the safari slide model has been discontinued. for 2007.

rec you don't mention preference for new/used/old, price range and so on...

the vintage section balrgn suggests and the company page will give you lots of floor plans...

while the members here can give you first had opinions on specific models...

happy hunting...
