Napa newbie

Hello one and all, I am just a newly joined member and introducing myself here. I've been airstreaming a few years now with my "Eddie" Bauer 25. The Napa valley is normally home, or if steelhead are running you'll likely find Eddie and me holed up on whatever river. Most of my working adult life was flying, farming and fishing. Now, I'm retiring from adulthood, I'm solo, I'm off duty and via airstream off to finding America, anywhere from Alaska to...Argentina? JW

Welcome to the Airstream Forums. We're retired and have enjoyed Airstream adventures to both coasts and the gulf. I think you will find the Airstream community welcoming where ever you might travel or stay a while. You meet the nicest people pulling an Airstream.

Jump right into these forums to find where the fishing might be good, or the next big airshow. Fish Idaho this spring. Or maybe you'll pull your Airstream to Oshkosh sometime and witness a fantastic EAA airshow with 200,000 other folks. It is on my "someday" list but I don't handle crowds well. At least we have the Airstream as a retreat.

Some folks just like to meander down some state highway that looks interesting and explore the small towns along the way.

Welcome to the forums! I grew up in Napa; currently live in Santa Rosa. Napa and Sonoma counties are a nice part of the world to be from and in, don't you agree? Cheers!

I want to say I certainly hope you and yours escaped the horrible wildfires las fall. Awful. Wildfires are my biggest concern here in Colorado. It has been too warm and dry for too long. My plan is to hitch up the Airstream and evacuate if we have to. At least we would have a comfortable place to stay.
