My new (old) AS

Hi all- great site! I have just purchased my 2nd Airstream...I sadly and foolishly sold my first one and have regretted it weekly ever since. been 10 yrs now.
This next one is a 29' 1970 International. But I think it would be listed as a 71 because the manufacturing date is 7- 70 on the door plate. The trailer was originally bought for use in ONT Canada and lived most of it's life there. I believe I may be the 3rd owner.I found it by chance on a side road when I pulled off the highway to switch fuel tanks on the truck. It was meant to be I guess. Most of the skin is in really good shape save for a few dents down low.
I am currently living in Newfoundland, which is an large island off Canada's East coast-Notorious for harsh weather down thru the ages. I fear that the old International may have suffered some during her 4 or 5 years here on "The Rock" as it's called.
So far I can only see evidence of one leak from the front roof vent , which has reduced the front couch to garbage. And she lost the rear window during Hurricane Leslie.
I've had some success with the appliances , except the water heater , which the PO didn't drain, and subsequently froze and split. I will replace it with an On-demand system.
Any way, looking forward to digging into this one. My first venture into the Airstream was a dream come true. but its too sad a story to tell on the first date...
Cheers..

We love a good story.. And we love pictures
You are going to have an adventure no matter how you go with your new(to you) trailer. Any story involving airstreams and ferries and snow has got to be worth telling. Lots of information here for the searching and asking so WELCOME to the forums,
tim
