My New 2012 International 23D
Aloha!
I thought I'd take a moment to introduce myself. Gary here but I'm assuming the moniker of Ho'onanea -- a Hawaiian word that means "to pass the time with peace, ease, and pleasure." I hope it will be a fitting name for future travels in my 2012 International 23D.
I call Riverview, FL home but my job requires frequent travel and I'm hoping to use my new Airstream to combine business with a little pleasure. We'll see how that goes. It won't be practical all of the time but when it is, it will sure beat a hotel.
I've been reading the Forums for a while soaking up all of the good information here but have kept a fairly low profile. One of the many things I've learned, however, is we love to see pictures! So I'm attaching a few in separate posts -- looks like 4 pictures per post is the limit.
Hope to see many of you around!

I should mention that I purchased my Airstream at Sanders RV in Alachua, FL. Wayne Borecki and the rest of the staff were terrific to work with. True customer service in a family run business is what you'll find there.

If you're not tired of looking yet, here are a few more. The site I'm parked on is a nice older campground about 1.5 miles from where my home is. I can walk there. It serves the purpose of storage and keeps it nearby so I can sit it in and just admire it. Maybe that'll wear off after my first year of leasing the site. . . but I hope not.

And the last 3 show a site that's going to give me some new challenges with a tree at the end very close to the bumper and a narrow road that will soon seem even narrower when the Snowbirds arrive and there is a car parked in front of each RV or park model.

Welcome Aboard....
Lets not even go there...it might be a Ford Expedition.

Congrats on the lovely trailer. We've been considering a 23D ourselves - love the front lounge!

Very nice... Congratulations! You won't get tired of just sitting it it admiring it, either, trust me.
By the way, you can upload 10 pictures to one post...two batches of 4 + one batch of 2 = 10.

I love this model and the floorplan. But I noticed you said "we" and you might want consider carefully that the main corner bed is only 48" wide -- that's somewhere between twin and full size. I think it would be very difficult for 2 adults to share this bed. It's fine for me by myself. Just sayin' . . .

Thanks, TBR -- I was lucky enough to take delivery of my AS during a "work at home" week. I've been in it all week and I'm lovin' it!
Thanks for the tip about uploading, too.

We have the very same bed/bath arrangement in our 2006 19' Bambi...we are two normal sized adults (but both both under 6') and we do fine...it's not what I'd call roomy....but it works ... and there are 2 dogs in bed, too! Fortunately one of the dogs usually gets off the bed during the night and then there is much more room.

Too small for two? No way! I'm only 5'8" so I get the wall side and my other half is 6'2" so he gets the open end and it works great. I love the 23' due to the extra space but were still in love with our 19' Bambi. Enjoy and thanks for the pics! Ever want to trade up in @ 3 years or so let me know.

Never get tired of gawking at the babies rolling off the line.
Love the decor finishing and colours. The olive satin throw pillow on the bed with the burgundy - classy.
The AS interior-decor team does a great job.
A beautiful trailer; you must be very proud.
Happy Airstreaming!

Oh, that is a beauty. I think if I had the pleasure to own a new one, I would just sit and admire it too. I would want it close by. 1.5 miles sounds like you can walk over just to have lunch!! I make a very nice lunch, if you need any help babysitting it, its getting cold here in CT

Thanks, Fly. Yes, they do a very nice job on the interior finishes. But someone on the design team at Airstream has a pretty good sense of humor with the placement of the lower oval window in the bath. ;-)

OK TBRich and blmitch5, I take back my remarks about the bed being too small. I've just slept alone for so many years that I've grown accustomed to tossing and turning and taking up the whole bed from side to side and top to bottom!
I'm a little tickled picturing 2 adults and 2 dogs in one of these beds. :-) But I'm glad it works for you and the pooches.
And whoever sleeps against the sidewall . . . Do you wear an adult "onesie" to bed 'cuz I just can't imagine bumping bare skin on aluminum on a chilly night! LOL
