Cool Mexico to Maine

New to this forum and I know I'm going to love it! We are looking to upgrade from our 25 yr old pick up truck camper, it's a super room crank up sunlite, perfect for roaming around Mexico. Now that I'm looking to unload a house here in NH and rent the other one in ME, I would like to become a gypsy north of the border as well. I am shopping for an airstream tow behind. Currently driving a Nissan Murano 2010 and wishing I had held out for the VW Taureg clean diesel as it tows 7k compared to my 4k rating, oh well I'm always in need of boundaries to contain my dreams.
In addition to our travels my husband and I are constructing what we chose to believe is he world's first off the grid solar campground. It is located on the Pacific coast of Mexico about 2 hours south of Puerto Vallarta. I'll keep you posted on our progress, meantime I would love help finding a rolling home for the summer.

Welcome to the Forums Holly. Your camp ground idea sounds very interesting, love being self sufficient. Good luck with your AS search. I'm not an expert but I would not think that you would want to go more than a 22 with that TV. LJH

Maine to Mexico

You are sooo right and that's exactly what I now have. The proud owner of "Sylvia" a 1956 22 ft Caravanner. Now I need the original gas fridge to make her just as beautiful as she was the year after I came along.
Thanks so much.
Holly

Nice find! I like the idea of the off-grid campground, great idea. Hmmm maybe we can get one going on the G of C coast of Baja when I retire...
