Lurker converted to AS Owner

Hello Everyone,

I have been a lurker on the forum for a while now, learning and being enlightened by your many stories and advice. After two years and three months (long story) I have finally made the purchase. And I gotta share with those who get it!!!!

Colonial Airstream had just received a 2011 International Signature 27FB and I snatched it up. It took me a while to narrow down what we wanted/needed. But my choices consisted of the one mentioned, a 27 Serenity (which I have to say is so beautiful and relaxing on the inside) and the flying cloud twin bed. I really like the extra space the twins give and I will prob convert the Queen in ours into twins eventually.

But this is the one!!! We will be picking her up on Saturday. I think my family is as excited about the road trip as we are getting the AS LOL, its been a while.

Praying for a flawless and safe trip!! I am sure I will have many questions to come, but thanks to everyone on the forum, it has helped so much on our decisions.

KS

Congratulations on your purchase. Your excitement comes thru in your post.

A question, did you buy without seeing your AS? A used model could have some issues. Did you negotiate the deal via telephone and/or email? Just curious.

Drive defensively and have a good trip!

We bought it at Colonial AS in NJ. I had been talking to Patrick off and on since last summer. He had a unit come in that he had sold new. And the couple traded up. They have a good rep and he assured me it was in very good shape. I negotiated the price over the phone. And I must say the unit is about as close to new as you can get. Other than a couple of tiny dings on the rock guards it's immaculate. The customer service, and the guys that serviced and prepped it did an excellent job, you can tell they take pride in their jobs.

Congratulations, we did a similar thing with Patrick and Lauren some years ago, purchased a traded one year old and found them and their staff to be excellent. The technician spent as much time as we felt necessary to go over our unit with us.

Enjoy

As an add on to a question posted a while ago on this thread, we purchased a 25' FC and never actually looked at the unit until we went to pay for it and pick it up. Not my usual method but in talking to both Patrick and Lauren we had enough confidence with verbal, email and pictures to just do it.

Everything was exactly as they had presented it.
