Good morning.
Having just purchased a 1977 Argosy I am very grateful to see this site. I am looking forward to restoring this unit and getting a lot of use out of it. We have only recently gotten to the point in our lives where we can start to plan extended trips to various parts of the nation; in my mind I can see the finished project, it is just the resources and background knowledge that I lack.
Thank you all in advance for any advice and/or help you can offer.
Hi Mike, Welcome.
As for resources and knowledge - this is the place. It sometimes takes a search and a bit of digging to find, but there is a wealth of info here. This site has saved me a ton of money and effort.
Nice to have you aboard, and congrats on your Argosy purchase.
Dave
Welcome to another Argosy owner. In our recent ice storm my "new" 76 Airstream sustained some end cap damage; however, those steel end caps in the great old Argosy don't have even a scratch. Argosy's do rule! You know I see lots of damaged end caps both front and rear in Airstreams, so I wonder why they don't just make the end caps out of something stronger and paint them aluminum.
