hello to everyone! THANK YOU all so much for so much info! I have learned so much this week! I am going to HolidayRVs in Albuquerque today to actually look upclose at something I'd only admired from afar since I was a kid! Our family did not camp and I have always wanted an Airstream to just go, go go! Cannot wait to take the pups and breathe on the open road! I'll surely report back with my observations! You are all so helpful and excited as I am! I love it! HAPPY AND SAFE WEEKEND!

Have fun. It is always nice to get up to one and look at them more closely.
I would suggest reading some of the more recent QC threads (they go back to 2004 and are all linked from the 2009 QC thread below) to give you an idea of what to look for and I would also suggest that you look at the corrosion threads so that you can also see if there are any current signs of exterior issues with any unit you might consider. I have been on lots recently and found the corrosion issue on trailers that have been on the lot for only a month. It's all about the info and being able to identify anything before you sign on the line. After you sign, it's your problem.
Thanks for the advice! I can assure you I have read and read and read and took many notes as to what QC issues are out there and I am ready to do my looking! Always prepared!
