Looking
Our unit has had a couple come to our rally to see the different sizes and shapes of Airstreams. They are seriously interested in finding a vintage "let us know if you hear of any other units that are 17' to 20' with a dry weight of 3000 pounds or less". I attend many rallys but I am only one person. With this Airforums network we certainly see alot of Airstreams on a regular basis. if you see or hear of any Airstreams that fall into the above parameters I would appreciate an email so that I can put these people on a track. Most Airstreams that are sold never make it to a classified ad and any help you can provide will be most greatly appreciated.

In scanning the weight/length chart, it looks like they will be limited to 1950s models with the exception of '60s Globetrotters and a Caravel or two.

I know I have seen it before but obviously you have just looked at it can you direct me to this chart and I will sent it to Pat. She is pretty certain that she is looking for a 62-63 globetrotter. I'm trying to convince her that she will have the trailer much longer than she will her tow vechicle so get the right trailer and then find the tow. Pretty sure she has her mind made up on the Globetrotter.

Rick,
Once upon a time, you could get to the link from here: Airstream, Inc :: FAQ But it seems to be broken.

Here's a link to the Weights List
Keep in mind, the weights show on the chart are "dry weight" - which means: - No water
- No propane
- No clothes
- No food
- No bedding
- No options - like remodeled interiors, extra shelves, A/C, awnings, etc
- No extras - like TV, microwave, BBQ, chairs, ice chests, etc
These " conveniences" make a trip a little more enjoyable and some may be hard to live without ~
