Longtime Airstreamer

This is a new site for me and actually I was trying to find a door lock for our 1985 Excella, 32 Foot travel trailer when I stumbled on you. We also have a 1967 and a 1987 Airstream trailer. Just love them! We hope that someone can tell us where to find the lock. The old one is completely destroyed. Thank you.

Welcome to the forums. This is a great site and lots of helpful folks will step right up! I would post a pic of the lock you want to replace if you have the old one... or at least ask someone that has a 85 Excella to post a picture of theirs. Everyone here likes pictures! You might do a search for 85 Excella or door lock, etc. and see if there are threads that pop up. Also look above at the classifieds and search there as well.

There are also several vintage trailer supply places that might be able to accommodate you... it is always a shot ...

I would try: they have been helpful to me.

Good luck, and again, welcome! Any questions, just post. You probably won't have to wait long for an answer...

Welcome to the forums! You should be able to do a search and find your answer here. I know Bargeman makes a very acceptable one for my '61. Posting some pictures of the offending lock would help as well, especially for those of us who don't know every square inch of every airstream made.

I used to think I knew a lot about them until I got here!

Good Luck!

It's always great to welcome owners who have more than one. I also have three and now I can say to you-know-who, "see, I'm not so odd!" (psst, but those owners with 4 or even 5, they are really odd!)
