Long Time RVer, first time Airstream(er)

Hi everyone!

I'm a long time RVer (even at only 31). RVed with my family starting in out '94 28' Aljo TT p, then '98 38' Avion FW. I, however, havw always had a love for Class A's so when I finally could I bought my own, a '99 '38 Bounder. I'm on the forums because I just traded up! I finally moved to the DP world with a '00 Airstream 35XC diesel. It may be 3' shorter but feels SO much larger. I was able to get it where I get all my RVs (shout out to RV Dealer California: New & Used Airstream RVs, Fifth Wheels, Travel Trailers, Toy Haulers & Motorhomes for Sale, Service & Parts Los Banos, CA). The pictures of my new rig are on there. I don't take official delivery till Wednesday when I have them do the work to my tow car ('06 Hummer H2). Anyways, I've always loved Airstreams and the love you guys have for your own and the RV lifestyle itself, and can't wait to be a part of it myself. I'm located in Fresno, CA, and would love suggestions for which Airstream club to join.

See everyone on the road!

Welcome to the camp, I guess we all know why we're here. Good to find another class A driver.

Hey 3Dog,

I think you have one of the COOLEST motorhomes ever made. I want to get a Classic class A one day just for fun. I just wish they made bullet A's in diesel =(

They did, just not a lot. There have been a couple of gassers converted to diesel by forum members. Look for their threads in the mechanics corner.

You are looking for the rarest of the rare! There are some 80's versions with an Isuzu diesel puller, a few 90's with an original cummins pusher and only one original cummins puller that I have seen. There have been some conversions using a dura max engine transplant from a donor truck. Be ready to pounce if you find one sine you may only get one shot!

Welcome, and keep us posted on the search/ choice!
