This is Joe in Tucson. I have a 1999 excella 25ft. I bought this from a used car dealer in my area. It has been well taken care of but the sun has peeled the clear coat on the side facing west in my yard. Other than that it's in very good condition.

Hi Joe in Tuscon! Welcome from New Hampshire! Glad to have you with us.

Congratulations on your new to you rig! Sounds like it's gonna be a fun adventure. The aging and patina are what gives the rig it's character.

There's lots of great info here in the community. Ask questions, search and's are nice too.

Wishing you all the best!

Welcome from Colorado: Now you can be a contributor as well as a reader. I like the 25' Excella, seems to be a perfect size. I have a 1975 Overlander 27'. The extra 2' isn't much of a bother. But mine is a rear bath layout and I think the mid bath works better for most folks.

Many, many folks with older Airstreams have sun faded clear coat. Some call it male pattern baldness. I have stripped the old clear coat off of 4 old Airstreams I have owned through the years. It does mean you might want to wax the trailer every year. But I do think stripping faded clear coat makes the trailer better looking. Or you could spend many mindless hours behind a polisher and make the trailer look a bit better.

Here is my vintage 75 Overlander. Post a picture of your rig when you can or if you want.

Thanks to all for the welcome! Does any one know how to change the accumulator in the fresh water system?

I wasnít clear about when I purchased my Excella. Iíve owned it since 2015.
