Never had one, but my immigrant Father from the Netherlands loved many things American. And nothing more classic than the Airstream! I want one. Am 61 y/o and would like to retire or semi retire in the next 10 years. My adult daughter with intellectual amd developmental disabilities lives with me. We love to travel, especially drive. I recently checked out the new Flying Cloud 30FB Bunk. We'd both like to have our own dedicated bedroom. This seems to be the only model that features such a floor plan. So we're getting involved on this site and hope to find out dream "boat"!

Hello bmeerman.
I would say that you and your daughter are perfect candidates for an Airstream. The key words are “travel” and “drive”.
You have also come to the right place to learn about all things Airstream. My recommendation to everyone is to look at lots of them so you can figure out what works best for you.
I might suggest going to an Airstream rally sometime. Lots of Airstreams to look at and Airstreamers to talk to.
Much appreciated. Heading then to Sugarcreek this weekend! Sounds fun. Love fall festivals. Will contact the rally organizer and inquire about a visit to the RV park. We're excited. Thanks again.
The JC tour is well worth the very close trip. The Swiss Festival is always fun to attend. There is a lot of information on this site. Welcome and enjoy.

What a blast it was at Sugarcreek. The festival was great. Our visit to the staging area for the Airstreams was a thrill. Met a number of folks. Wish I would have thought to get some names and phone numbers. Is there a directory by region by which I could connect with some of the folks?
