just wanted to say hello

Picking up my new 08 safari se 28' on weds. from Bates and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on a good first trip in central florida? Never had a trailer before so it should be interesting. So far its been rather costly 1 new f250 6.4 psd and 1 Airstream plus all the things to outfit the camper, I hope we like camping!

Welcome and congrats!

Though I'm from way up north in Canada, I've gone camping in Florida a few times and have really enjoyed my stay at Fort DeSoto in St. Petersburg. I know it's not really central Florida, but thought I'd chime in with a recommendation. It's very inexpensive, and the scenery and beaches are top-notch.

And I certainly hope you like camping as well! We went tenting once with the family, and the next thing we knew we had a brand new Airstream. We were also hoping we liked camping - and three years down the road we're happily convinced we do.

Post some pictures when you get the chance, and happy trails!

Hi & welcome...

Couple hours away from you is Topsail State Park in FL, the 2nd nicest park I have ever been at... (The best is still Devils Lake State Park in Devils Lake North Dakota - but that might be a bit far for a weekend getaway...

Anyway, check out Tpsail -- you won't be disappointed.

best regards...

Hello from Ohio and congratulations on your new Airstream. You might check Land Yacht Harbor in Melbourne. They have a website.
