Just purchased a 1976 26' Argosy... my first RV and a little project

I just purchased this unit from my neighbor. I didn't truly research this prior giving her $1500. I just find this unit sexy and in general good shape. I'm looking forward to learning more from this site and all members. I'm amazed how much info i already learned. Great stuff.

I am sure that you will be making many discoveries about your coach during your investigation processes. If you haven't spent much time perusing the Forums, something you should be forewarned about are the front Panoramic Windows on your coach. These are the same windows currently utilized on Airstreams with one major difference . . . . the Panoramic Windows on our Argosys are clear rather than solar gray tinted. The issue is that if one of our clear windows has to be replaced is that the only replacements available new are the tinted versions utilized on Airstreams . . . . for this reason, many of us with Vintage Argosy coaches have installed three-piece Airstream rock guards to protect our difficult to replace clear Panoramic Windows.

Good luck with your coach!

Kevin

Sounds like a solid deal on the trailer! If everything works and you're not planning on restoration you still should take a look at the threads on axle / brake / tire replacement, if the axles are bad it could actually do damage to the trailer.
Congrats on the buy!

Welcome! $1500 isn't a bad price for a good shell that needs everything. If it's better than that, you got a great deal! Where are those photos?
