Hello from San Antonio, TX! Currently own a 2024 International 27FBQ. It's been an awesome first RV, but we'll be upgrading early next year to a 2025 Classic 30RBT. Quickly realized we wanted more comfortable seating, larger interior space, connectivity via MyAirstream, and more storage with twin bed configuration. We are new to the RV lifestyle. I fully retired in 2022 and my wife still works from home for Johnson & Johnson and she plans on working on the road as we travel. We are both looking forward to many years of exploring the U.S. and visiting friends and family. I've found the Air Forums page to be a great source of information and ideas. Hopefully some of our paths cross on the trail...it would be great to meet fellow airstreamers.

Welcome and congratulations on your soon to have 2025 Classic. I’ve met AS owners that work while on the road. They seem to fully endorse it. Have fun.

Welcome camping101! Both are beautiful trailers! I thought about working from the road but havent mastered the connectivity issue yet. Best of luck to you!

Using Airstream. Connected in the International. Good connectivity in the campgrounds we’ve visited and works okay for general computer use and most of our WiFi devices. Main con is the download speeds are not good and results in buffering when trying to stream on tv. Considering starlink but haven’t done the research to see if we would experience the same speed issues.

Welcome. I often work from our dining table. It's pretty great to be almost anywhere and still be able to work.

We love visiting Texas - so much to see & do. My wife is not so keen on the incredibly tall Interstate flyover ramps especially when we're towing our vintage classic. I see where Texas's tallest flyover ramp yet just opened in San Antonio. Have you been on it yet?

I am quite sure your new Airstream will serve you well. But keep in mind you will grow to fit the space you have. We just spent two months in the Houston area, separated by a two week trip back to Alabama, and felt my 26' Overlander accommodated our stuff quite well. And we cooked every day except Friday!

I recently retired from a 40-hour work-week, but am still on the company's books for consulting. My cellphone's hotspot gets along quite well with the VPN my work computer requires.

Best of luck in your travels, and hope to meet you down the road.

Tom

I hear you, San Antonio one of the top fastest growing cities in U.S., we are almost numb to the never ending construction. Still a fantastic city though. Not sure what flyover you are referring to but I have been on most of them. I love your setup…very classic in many ways! I totally agree with growing into what you own. I’m going to have to out my foot down or I’ll find myself in 33’! lol.

Starlink by far is the best source for on the road connection. My wife also works while traveling and staying connected on the road adds to her stress. Take that stress away and get the Starlink.
