Just join this forum had some problems with my 2016 23d airstream refrigerator
Getting too warm at the back of it the wardrobe wall was hot and also the wall with the tv was getting hot, the fan never went on to cool it down, took it into the rv dealer they had it for 3 days and check it out. Found nothing wrong with the fridge That when I e-mail Dominic they told me I had to insulate the sides and top of the cabinet behind the fridge so I did that with aluminum foil insulation and sent them photos and they said it was great, also at this time I was camping on the outbanks and there was another airstream 23d next to me he had been having the same problem, he had a technician fix his problem by moving the fan to the vent and putting the thermostat on the fin up top, so I left the fan where it was install and put the thermostat on the last fin up top, you need a small right angle drill for this, the reason I left the fan where it because it pulls the air up through the coils and blows on the fins then goes out the vent

Welcome to the forum. Nicely described description of your problem, unfortunately you will find that there are numerous posts/threads about problems with the fridges and their venting. They are manufactured for a very specific installation configuration, which is seldom met. As you noted, air flow plays a major role.

So yourself a favor and start digging through the forum, an easy one is to click the recent post button in the bar near the top, there are usually a few different threads related to fridge performance within the few pages shown. You can search also, but I'm not proficient enough to explain how.
