Jumpin' in

My wife and I have been looking and talking about Airstreams for years. Wouldn't you know it, the other day I raised my hand to go to the bathroom and the next thing you know, we'd made a deal on not only a 2003 Classic 30 but the TV as well.

It's half way across the Country, but in two weeks, we're going to fly out and drive it home. Pinch me, dreams really do come true! PS: Sleep has become impossible at this point.

Congratulations!

FWIW, If one Airstream is enough, you might want to discuss FLOMAX with your doctor ...

Just kidding - Have fun on the trip!

Thumbs up Welcome

Sounds like you jumped in with all FOUR feet.

And we all know how important that is.

This is the best place for all things Airstream, don't believe me, just ask a question you'll find out pronto.

Keep a log and post some photo's of the trip back home, sure sounds like a great adventure.

Be sure to check the rig out thoroughly before starting, brks, tires, and so on. Don't rush and enjoy the trip.

Will you be able to stay on-line during the adventure?, if so you have a GREAT resource right here on the Forum.......Best advice I can give,
USE IT

It's hard to make a comeback if you haven't been anywhere

Welcome and congratulations. Where are your going to get this beast? Do they have names yet? It's a rule that the Airstream and its TV must have names before you leave on the maiden voyage. We want to hear about the trip with photos, of course.

Congratulations

I still smile every time I wake up under the aluminum dome of my bedroom. There aren't many things you purchase that will make you smile for years, but an Airstream probably will! Your post brings back the way it felt waiting for delivery once I ordered it.

Happy trails to you! Pictures... Pictures... Pictures.

Paula

The AS & TV are in Des Moines. My son lives out there and was abe to look it over for us. Everything's in great shape. Anyway, we'll be sure and take pictures and start a log as well. We haven't even begun to think of things like names. It's all a little overwhelming for a couple of newbies at this point, but we're just taking it one step at a time.

Can't wait!!

Congratulations. I'm going to pick up my second Airstream in mid October, so I know just how you feel. I'm a little scared because my second one is 31ft. You have really jumped off the deep end with your first being 30ft. Take it easy on the tow home. Welcome to the Forum.

Fred n' Erma, on the Road

Pinch me I'm dreamin'...We just picked up our Chevy TV and '03 Classic 30, nicknamed Fred n' Erma. We Bought it from a fantasic couple in Des Moines and drove it home to MD and couldn't be happier - it is everthing we could have asked for. We can't wait to get on the road again.

Oh, wow! What fun! I am SO glad you are so happy with your rig! I know you will have many happy memories with it.

Um... in the picture it looks like your AS has a small rip in the space/time continuum. You might want to have that checked.
