I've got it!! Aluminum Fever

This is my first time to participate in a "forum". I started with a newer CCD and found that my love for vintage things immediately brought me to the vintage Airstreams. I have a '62 Bambi that is a restoration project (which had been in my very own neighborhood for 20 years and I did not notice it until I got the "fever"). Then I found this beautiful 1954 Flying Cloud with a whale tail and it had undergone a total frame off restoration. I have many photos I would like to share of this restoration but am not sure how I send them or where. I can send a file from the picasa site but I don't really know where to e-mail it. Perhaps someone can fill me in on this. I have been reading many threads about other 1954 Flying Cloud Restorations and would like to share.

Welcome 1954 Cloud!

Sounds like you are up to your neck and the tide is rising in aluminitis! Great!

If you want to post pictures.... click on the "go advanced" button next to the post quick reply and you will see a longer posting window with smilies and such. If you scroll down you will see a button that says manage attachments. Click on that and you can browse and upload .jpgs from your computer. They should appear in your post. There is a size requirement, you will have to read the tiny print I don't remember offhand what it is. It usually takes a tiny bit for the picture to show up in your post, but then, it is there!

We would love to see pictures of your 'streams! Inside and out! Don't wait, post soon! We are currently in the stages of restoring our Flying Cloud, the frame is off and in the garage... hope to get the frame and floor done with the shell back on before winter sets in.

Again, welcome aboard!

Welcome 1954cloud,

Maybe you could post a link to your picasa folder. That might be easier if you have a lot of photos.
