Intro from a soon to be new Airstream owner

Hello,

Just a quick introduction from someone who is new to this site. I am Tina and my hubby is Layton. We live in Anniston Alabama. We just purchased a new Airstream Safari SE 25 FB and will pick it up in 2 long weeks!!!! We currently camp in a Titanium fifth wheel. We have been searching on this site for months and got so much valuable information that helped us decide which Airstream was right for us. We felt that the 25FB was perfect for us. We can't wait to pick up our new baby!!!!!

We have camped for 20 years now. Started out with a tent, then popup, 2 travel trailers, a fifth wheel.........and FINALLY the Airstream. We found that the almost 13 ft height of the Titanium limited where we could go and we love the State Parks and National Forests........so this limited the back roads we could travel on. We can't wait to put the Airstream to the test. We both work full time, but our schedule allows us to travel for at least 1 week a month........which we usually do!!!! We have our longest trip ever planned for this June...........a trip to Yellowstone and the Tetons. Guess we'll break the Airstream in right!!!!!

Tina

Welcome to the forum. The anticipation of arrival must be substantial. The layout of that model is my favorite!

Greetings from the Frozen Tundra of Northern Minnesota, and WELCOME TO THE FORUM!

What a great choice... The 25 is a great rig. We have a 19' Bambi (2005) and LOVE IT! Did that trip last year for the "who-knows-how-many-th" time and just look forward to it every time. We typically go up to Yellowstone for a week and then head south through the Tetons to Rocky Mountain National park. What a wonderful trip...

Welcome to the forum, and enjoy your new rig...

We are just looking forward to leaving the sub-zero temps behind us (-21 F - not including the wind-chill factor - That's actually the ambient reading this morning at 7:00 CST) and getting back to the important stuff in life! CAMPING!!!

Our best to you both... Have fun picking up your new rig!

Bill

Welcome!

It looks like you have paid your dues and done your homework.
Congrats on your new trailer, the 25 is a great size IMO.

You'll love the Teton/Yellowstone area. There are some threads here on things to see, where to stay, etc.

Nice to have you here,
Dave

Wait until you TOW it!

After the monster you've been dragging around, you literally will have to check in your back window to make sure you've got a trailer hooked up. And wait until you're passed by an idiot in a semi going 80 mph, you may feel a bit of sideways sway, but nothing compared to the giant sucking sound and feel of the old SOB.

You're gonna love it.

Welcome!

Paula

Greeting from the Florida Panhandle

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.

We have a 2005 Safari 25 FB, named Lucy, and absolutely love the floor plan. We have spent over 200 nights in her, and pulled her almost 30,000 miles. We still love the layout and wouldn't trade her for anything.

Congratulations on your new baby!

Welcome to the Airforums and your brand new Airstream. How exciting! I'll bet you can hardly wait.

You've "been there and done that" for all the other RVing options, so now it's time to get to the real fun with an Airstream!

You are in for a real treat!
