International 28

Hi Folks-
Just getting my "mandatory" first post out of the way so I can drop the half page welcome message that new members get! We purchased a 2008 International before the holidays.

I have used the forum for several things already.

1. Pricing (as a % below msrp)
2. Proper dump station practices. We always had a tent trailer w/o toilet.
3. LED Lighting- just an interest
4. The complicated wiring on the optional audio package. I found a couple of good descriptions and photos.
5. Weight distributing hitches- we bought an Equalizer from ebay at a good price.
6. Winterizing procedures- this came up easier than the description as our trailer has drains at the low spots of the hw and cw lines. With compressed air it seems that everything is out but the traps. It rarely gets too cold here anyway.

Thanks for the info!

Welcome to the 28'ers

Tim

We've been very happy with our 28 (2005) and plan to take it south to the dead horse peeps rally (2nd) in Feb 2008.

We got 15% below msrp on our purchase.......but that's with all the options.

Very happy with our equalizer hitch.......just match it with your tv!

Dump your black water first.....then flush your black water tank......then dump your grey water tank.

We've winterized......and now we're on the way out of the rain to sunnier climes in AZ. Don't plan on doing another winterizing in the NW......just dump some RV antifreeze in your traps.

BTW.....Welcome to the forums!

Good luck in your travels!

Hi Tim,
Just curious. What % did you get off MSRP. At the present, I'm only getting a 17.7% discount from MSRP on a 2008 27FB INternational CCD which I'd order so the dealer doesn't have to warehouse.
Was offered a 23.4% on a 2007 Safari 27FB the dealer has on the lot.
I'm thinking he could do better.
