I'm now an owner!
Just purchased my Airstream this weekend. I bought a 1981 31' Excella Limited. Interior and exterior looks better than lots of '90's models I looked at. The aluminum skin is top notch to be 25 yrs old. It needs a fridge, and I knew that while I was negotiating. I already have one on order from Palomino
Parts (excellent prices and quick service). Found out about them from ASforums. My wife and kids love it. We're looking forward to our first of many enjoyable trips in our silver bullet!
Also, it tows like a dream with the weight distribution hitch on my Tundra.

Well welcome to the forums as a new member. Hope we see you in Hiawassee in April. How about some pictures of your new home away from home?

I'll post some pics as soon as I replace my digital camera that I recently dropped and destroyed.
Also, forgot to say everything is original except the carpet ( Which I want to put in hardwood) and the A/C.

Welcome to the Excella side of life
Congratulations on the purchase of an AS. We love our Excella (1972). Let me also invite you to our get together in Hiawassee April 20-22.
Her is a link to the thread about the rally. http://www.airforums.com/forums/f288/april-20-22-rally-springstream-n-ga-29042.html
Borrow a camera and take a few shots, love to see your rig.

Welcome to this wonderful forum!! The folks here have a ton of knowledge and are willing to share. They were very helpful .... as I am now leaving on my very first rally....I hope to start sharing my knowledge and experiences here. Good luck and hope to see you down the road.

Congrats and Welcome! As a new owner myself I have one word of caution. Anything and everything Airstream is highly addictive!! You have been warned.
