I'm a new member

I have read a lot of these posts and find them very interesting. My wife Rhonda has been in here a few years but I joined recently after retiring July 1st.

We have a 2014 27FB International Sterling (with the purple floor) which my wife appropriately named Lucy (after the Long Long Trailer movie ). We are missing our spring travel plans to the Smokies due to the Corona virus stay-at-home directives.

I pray everyone is staying safe and well, and that we will all get back to "Happy Camper" status soon.

Welcome! We are almost all just traveling in our minds now. I did put up a grab bar in the shower, so that kept me occupied for 45 minutes. 15 to install the bar and 30 min. To clean up the mess and put the tools away. It gave me a sense of satisfaction and a better place to hang my washcloth.
I am making a list of simple things that will be big improvements. Next actually install the hydraulic lift that I got for the medicime cabinet.

I’m guessing Foiled Again is referring to a gas strut for the medicine cabinet door like the one I installed on the cabinet door about our Globetrotter’s refrigerator.

Great idea. Can you give us part numbers or where you purchased the struts?

Amazon sells them in pairs, this is the gas strut I used. Only one is needed for the door jeffmc306 pictured in his post (I have the same door.)

Use one give one to a friend.

Oh good, what a relief! After I posted the question, I wondered if she was being sarcastic/funny about needing to support the medicine cabinet because of all the medication needed for this pandemic.

Sorry, got busy with a home project today.

As link2dks mentioned, you can get them from Amazon. I looked up my order history for the specs. It’s rated at 10 lbs. which is plenty. I’ll post a screen shot of the one I used (showing unavailable now but you can find others that match).

They’re easy to install and work great.
