I think I have a '69; need a window.

Hi there-this is my first post.
I have what I think is a 69 31 ft sovereign land yacht, but I'm confused about windows and whether it's truly a 69.
I was mowing the lawn and a rock shattered a side window; they are radiused, not flat, as I checked the survivors with a straightedge.

My tag on the side says: A 11 FJ
131 T 9 J 403

Can anyone translate that? and do you know where I can have the window replaced? I took the frame out and could send it somewhere.
Thanks for your time!
Steve

Steve.

You have a 1969 31 foot Airstream trailer.

The glass and sash (the metal frame around the glass) is available, but you will have to change out the hinge, from the old window to the new window.

A glass shop won't be able to have a curved glass, plus when you take that old sash apart, you will never get it back together so that it fits the trailer properly.

Contact your insurance company as that glass is not cheap.

You will need to tell the dealer you call the width of that window.

In round numbers it will be either 30 or 40 inches wide.

An Airstream parts stocking dealer would have that window in stock.

Thanks

Appreciate that, Inland RV. You are correct; they are not cheap. If anyone out there has one please let me know.

Smoke,
You might try Colaw RV salvage in Carthage, Mo or RV revive in Iowa.

The trailer insurance covers glass and so does a homeowners policy, even for your trailer.

Any Airstream dealer can get the 30" window, some places are less expensive than others. You can also try to find used windows, at places like Colaw Salvage in Missouri.

I bought no longer available parts from Camper Repair Center in Alabama. Their number is 205 665-2531. They bought surplus from the factory like Inland and C&G did.
