I am now official-94 Excella 1000- 34footer

First of all I wanted to THANK the airstream community to providing experienced answers to my inexperienced questions...I started looking about 9 months ago..My first questions involved the Bambi, specific questons about various coaches I was evaluating and finally a request for inspection help on a coach that I had my eye on. Thanks, specifically to Don Williams of Riverside in providing the other set of eyes in giving the airstream the final once over which lead to the purchase yesterday of our very own airstream...From a Bambi to an Excella 1000 -34 footer what an evolution...
By the way after a few minor upgrades I will be hauling this coach to 60 acres that I own in New Mexico in Lincoln County (Billy the Kid country)....So the work/fun begins....Again thanks for everybody's valuable input in the selection process...Ernesto

Best of luck with your new baby. That sure is a reach to start out looking at a Bambi and end up buying a 34 footer.

Welcome, and WELCOME!!!

Ernesto -

Welcome to ASF, and WELCOME to the world of BIG toys!!!! You'll love it!

Have a place just east of ABQ and there is room and E/W hook-ups available, if it is on your way to the hacienda....

Would love to see photos of the rig - in person would be better, of course!

All the best with your rig! Enjoy that AS experience!!!

Have been stuck/ enjoying the welcome of Silver City in S. NM since 12/27.... Too much snow and ice in ABQ...!!!! This is the SW??? Haven't missed any of the amenities of the regular house while being here... have 3 kids in tow...!!

Will be heading out tomorrow for T.orC. and might have to leave the rig there to scout out the roads for home.... wife says there are 6inch tall iceberg in the roads all over!!!!

Maybe all melted by Saturday.... then again there is another storm forecast for Sat/Sun, so we'll see....

Leaving for Europe on Tuesday, so everyone keep the extra digits crossed for me.... please!!??!!!

Ciao

Axel

Hey Ernesto: Robert and Sherry here, and congrats. So glad you are on board, and we will all get together soon down at San Elijo. The rest of our stay was great after my little setback.

Talk to you soon.

Hey Ernesto, glad you were able to close the deal. Have you connected up and tried towing it yet? It was a learning experience to go from our 24' motorhome to towing the 22' and then 25' Airstreams. It helped moving our daughter back from graduate school with a 16 or 17' double axle U Haul.

LEt me know when you get it placed on your ranch.

Love that Lincoln County! Welcome!

Ernesto,
Welcome and congrats on the thirty four! I just love that Lincoln County part of NM having spent much time and money roaming, skiing and hunting in that part of the world. You must be anxious to return. Have a wonderful time in your thirty four and Happy Trails!
