Howdy from TX!

Hello All,
I am M and my Fiance is K. We are from the TX hill country and we are looking to purchase an airstream to live in! I should say thanks to the forum already for helping us to dodge the first bullet, almost having purchased the very first airstream we looked at for asking price with virtually no knowledge or planning whatsoever. PHEW! In my defense I wanted to be cautious but she was super gung ho and we both immediately felt at home when we sat down inside it and a few days feeling the wrath of an ornery lady friend will convince just about anyone! That being said I am legitimately excited to be learning about airstreams and shopping and exploring all the options, to say nothing of the adventures that will come after we actually own one! It's incredibly exciting to finally feel good about where (or should I say what) we want to call home. At this point in time I'd really just like to see some more good airstreams! Is there anybody in this area that owns one that wouldn't mind giving us a look and their thoughts on them? I promise we won't break anything and we don't bite!
Regards;
M

Welcome!

There are lots of Airstreams in Texas. Maybe some owners will chime in here.

Also, watch the rally listings toward the bottom of your portal page for any that might be within driving distance of you.

It's fixin' to be seriously hot down there, tho...

Good luck.

I am in Boerne - I have a 1973 Safari (23 feet) and my son, in Boerne also, has a 1970 overlander. Both are in the midst of renovation.

You're welcome to come by and have a look.

hey

thanks fellas
@rjpuckett
- thanks for the offer, that one is gonna be super far out of our price range though so we probably shouldn't we'll just drool and then be jealous. really do very much appreciate the offer though

@greg
- we will definitely take you up on that offer that's kinda the year we're looking to see and boerne is a super short drive from here. I posted my email on your profile (i think? still learning how to navigate this website) so shoot me a response if you get the chance

Anybody else around Kerrville TX with an airstream we could look at? It doesn't matter what state they're in I'd like to learn as much as possible inside & out
