Howdy, from Austin, TX!
Hi, everyone!
I've been lurking as a guest user for a long time, learning from all of your generous sharing of knowledge.
My wife and I have an International 25FBT Hatch waiting for us in DFW and are now waiting on our truck to arrive in the next two week!
Can't wait to put the learnings to use and contribute back to this community!

Welcome to the neighborhood and congratulations on your AS. Don’t know how familiar you are with Airstreams, but to hit a few state parks near you would be a good opportunity to get familiar with the workings. If you do consider some state parks, the earlier you book a site, the better chance of getting one. Texas state parks can be booked up to six months in advance. Have fun and be safe.

Welcome from small town Colorado: You're going to enjoy visiting all the great Texas parks and attractions and the venturing across this great country of ours.
DFW is a madhouse on the freeways. I was white knuckles pulling my old Overlander 27' through it. I'm just not good at changing two lanes with traffic zooming by at 20mph over the limit. But I bet you think "no sweat".

I was born and raised in Travis county and still live in the Austin area.
I agree with the previous post re checking a few nearby state parks for trial runs. Lake Somerville. Lake Livingston. Dinosaur valley. Blanco. Lots of others. Our "weekend" starts on Sunday or Monday night so we can usually get a campsite but maybe not the best campsite.
I'm relatively new to this too but happy to help.

Howdy neighbor and a warm welcome to the Airstream family and the forum. How exciting this must be for the you guys. After taking delivery of our 2019 International Serenity 30’, we joined Texas Highland Lakes Airstream Club and what a great experience it has been thus far.
