Holy crap- we just bought a ‘21 GT 27 FBQ

After months of debating International vs Flying Cloud vs Globetrotter, 25 vs 27, FB vs RB, and twin vs queen, we did it! Just ordered a ‘21 GT 27 FBQ fro AS New Mexico. Awesome dealing with a mom and pop shop after a lukewarm response to our inquiries with the dealer in Denver, and well worth the drive to make it happen.
Now the agonizing wait for our AS to be built mid-December, coming home (weather permitting!) in April!
Looking forward to learning tons more from this great forum. Cheers!

Congrat's and welcome to AS! We got our 1st 22FB Sport from a private seller in Denver back in June - it has been a blast since!

Congratulations! Good thing is, any choice you might have made would be ok. They all have their pros and cons.

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

Hi Aaron. Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us. Congratulations on making a decision. I know it's a tough one. The 27FB is a great floor plan. I know you will enjoy it.

Great choice!

Hi Aaron, congratulations and welcome to the Airstream Community!

We were just out your way in June with our GT. You’re so lucky to have So many great state parks to visit within hours of your home. Don’t hesitate to ask any questions on the forums; we all learn together.

Now the hard part - waiting!

Congrats...

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new AS! We started with a 2019 Basecamp X and then decided to jump to our ‘3rd’ AS as recommended by many on this forum... we didn’t buy our 3rd AS 1st, but we believe we did buy our 3rd AS 2nd. We spent a significant amount of time evaluating our options as well... 25 vs 27, queen vs twin, etc.. We will receive delivery of our 2021 GT 27 FBT in ~3 weeks... very excited to continue the adventure.

Welcome! I’m in the Denver metro area also, and I purchased my 2020 International from an Airstream dealer in another state. The Denver dealer had absolutely nothing in stock, and they weren’t optimistic about getting anything until late spring of 2021.

Congrats on the new GT. We love our 25. We loved our 04 19’ Bambi as well, and our 11 23FC FB. All of them are/were great. As time goes on, circumstances change.
We’ve camped all over Colorado so many great places. Getting a bit more difficult out there to find a nice quiet spot when you’re a last minute planner.
I think you may have dodged a bullet by not buying in Denver. I’ve heard a few “less than flattering” comments about them.

Thanks Jeff! actually your rig had a role in our final choices; that spectacular photo of your 2500 and GT in the sunshine sold us on Delmonico Red for our Ram. Hope to see you on the road sometime!

It's reassuring to hear that our impressions of Windish Denver were not a one-off thing. We definitely got the same vibe as the other CO folks here- no stock on hand, none expected, and not really interested if we were serious about an AS or not. The experience at AS New Mexico could not have been further from that.

I'm blabbering now- too excited to get started. Thanks everyone and we'll be watching for your rigs on the road!
