Talking Hi from Southern Alberta

I am so excited we have purchased a 1962 30' land yacht and after a lot of work have redone it and we love it. I can't believe the room and how much this has to offer compared to other trailers, airstream is way beyond it's years. I am so excited

very cool of you to keep a vintage AS in use and in shape. You will never lack for things to do, fixing or traveling! I can't wait to "finish" my Caravel and get busy on the Overlander.

Welcome TJC and congratulations on your new acquisition. We are formerly from SA ourselves (Lethbridge) having moved to the coast in '89. There are some really nice Airstreams around Southern Alberta but we found few of them were for sale when we were looking there as we found the typical owner was very proud of their unit and were not even remotely considering selling. In many cases it was intended to be passed along to another family member or close friend when they were done with it. There was one polished unit, a 65 or 66, in the Waterton area, that I lusted after but we could never convince them to part with it when we would run into them in various campgrounds.

There is only one problem with any Airstream - you can never go anywhere and be anonymous unless you are with a herd of 'em. Then you have some anonymity, but even then the way we individualize them causes them to stand out. Did yours come from the local area?

congrats!

Congrats on the new AS! We saw a 'vintage' airstream while travelling through Lethbridge last weekend, perhaps that was you.

Nice to see some other Alberta Airstreamers!

Exclamation Thank you

Thank you to all, you are very welcoming. I am so glad to see so many who adore AS as I do. Many think it is a horrible trailer , however I really don't care much what they think. I do have a question, what do I do to polish it?. We have got a summer spot where our new summer will be parked and let me tell you it will be well used. So many more pics to come.

Those people are just bitter and jealous because they haven't got our good taste!
