Hi everyone! Soooo excited to be here!
Hello, I am the proud new owner of a 1966 Safari 22 footer. I am a single lady and have wanted to buy an airstream for a few years. I really feel I am living my dream
However I am the newbiest of newbies and will be using this site a lot for guidance and questions. I feel really empowered since I hooked her up to my Jeep for the first time last week and took her for a spin.
I have spent the last month painting inside, covering cushions, and basically making her 'my own'. Her name is the Road Toast'r. We are located in West Coast of Fla. and hope to make many new friends on our road to adventure!! My two pugs will be accompanying me most of the time. I am lucky to have the original manuel and the former owners nearby who are wonderful and most gracious to answer any questions.
I am happy to have taken the leap to join the community and get to know fellow owners. Later my fellow adventurers!!

Great choice of model and year! Welcome to the forums. There are a number of '66 owners here with varying degrees of experience. Don't be afraid to ask questions and for all of our sakes, post some pictures!
Enjoy your Airstream adventures...

Since you live in Florida, make sure the trailer is weatherproof.
All the exterior gaskets, will be bad, unless they have been replaced.

Welcome, and don't be afraid about being a newbie----everyone was there at one time, and some of us are still experiencing serious learning curves. You'll find plenty of willing help here and at any campground you happen to stop at. Just get out there and go! Have a great time, and travel safe.
