Hi Everyone! New '73 31ft Sovereign Owner

Hi. Just bought a 1973 31ft Sovereign. First Airstream; very excited. Needs a lot of work. Gonna tow it from Boca Raton, Florida, to Merida, Mexico where we live. Tow vehicle is a 06 Ram 3500 Dually. Just had it converted to run on waste vegetable oil.

Would love to post some pictures of the trailer and get any comments or advice as we begin the renovation. Should I do that here, or in a different forum?

Thanks.

JR

Welcome! We just bought a 1985 25 ft Sovereign in CT. We brought it to FL for the winter, they like the warm too. My wife and I are also very excited about our new baby. Tow vehicle is a 05 Suburban Z71. We bought it from a dealer in Waterbury, CT (RV Legends), great people to deal with. We will be here in Venice/Nokomis, Fl till May and hope to go to the rallies etc. during the Winter months. New to airforms also and don't know all the ropes yet either. I would like to do the picture thing also.

Hi there, JR and welcome to airforums.com

You'll find lots of answers on here, and I think you'll find that reading some of the threads where similar work was done to similar trailers will go a long way towards answering questions you didn't even know yet that you had.

But first things first: post some pictures of your Airstream! Either take a minute to learn how to use the forum to load them, or lots of people (like me) use an external site like photobucket.com to store them, then just stick links here in order to show bigger images than the forum's software allows.

And since this is the welcome/intro forum, suggest you start a new thread in another forum that has more to do with the work that you want to do. Again, read a bit and you'll see where that should be.
