Talking Hi all! "73 Sov 31' our first Airstream

Got 'er a couple of weeks ago and after checking out and cleaning up, spending our first weekend in it tonite! We're going to a lake just a few miles from home for starters - don't want any surprises miles from home. We bought it 3 hrs away and it towed back just fine with w/d hitch included in the deal - hardly felt it back there down 95 and 64. Towed like a dream and no sway at all.
The camper appears to have been pretty well-kept. I do have to re-do a bad job of vista-view repair and a small soft spot (due to the vv leak). Seems a little rear sag but fixable and still works for now.
Seems like I just have the typical, expected quirks of a 37 yr old trailer and I felt like the price was right. Plus I've tent camped all my life so this is like the taj mahal to me Looking forward to learning more, getting into some projects/mods, and meeting some of you kind folks.

I'll be posting pics soon.

The family is really exited about our first night in the 'stream. Maybe we'll come up with a name while round the campfire.

pics of our new 73 sovereign

Great first trip in the rv for us! Heavy rains but we were snug and dry - just a couple window leaks to deal with and it was nice to be in there in a downpour to discover them. Kids had a blast.

Some better pics to come.

Weird, my pics didn't show up before - testing again a different way. I just load up pics to google picasa.

Hmm, what's the preferred way to add pics here? I tried the little "insert image button" but it seems to just put a placeholder icon there. I'm just sharing from my google picasa albums. Also tried pasting the "embed photo" info in post above but just looks like the code. What does everyone else do for pics?
