It may rain a lot.....but if you want to see rain visit Ireland, its like living in Portland, two types of rain, vertical and horizontal dependent on the wind. Sign up to the UKAirstreams and WBCCI Europe Facebook pages to see what is going on. This weekend is the Midlands Airstream gathering in Nottingham, there will be 30-40 trailers there and maybe worth a trip.

Hello from Colorado. Welcome to Air Forums. I would love some of your rain if you could spare some.

It will be great to get your European perspective on RV traveling. You can teach us all the European terminology associated with travel trailers, or should I say "caravans". You can also help us understand the low tongue weights and surge brakes required in Europe. I don't see the advantage.

I think Airstream builds trailers to the European standards. I imagine there are lots of differences. At least you get to use the international metric standards and fuel economy in liters per kilometer. A lot to learn.

David

Some folks live complicated lives that others therefore don’t understand.

For example this week I was working in Cambridge MA on Monday (I flew out Sunday) but then flew back to London overnight and then in to Glasgow. Left Glasgow at midnight last night. Home today, Dortmund in Germany all next week, Basel Switzerland the next......

One man’s normal is not understandable to others, that does mean it is true.

How did you get your Airstream to UK?

Are there ferries that will accommodate so you can travel mainland Europe too?

Hi

True, but I've seen a *lot* of scam's that open up exactly the same way.....

I've lived many decades where I was "out of country" almost as much as I was in. Working out where "home" was could get complex. I still seemed to be able to work out a consistent answer to "where is home base ..." (at least within the context of a single sentence or two ....).
