I purchased a 1963 Globtrotter. I found a axle that was removed from a 2005 Bambi with tires and alloy stock rims. Will it fit my trailer? Is the load ratting correct? I have yet to move my trailer to my home so I can not measure. Mine has split rims so I thought this was a first good move. The axel is going for $275 & tires for $333 Should I be thinking this far ahead before I start restoration work? Thanks for any suggestions.

You really need to measure it. Why was the axle removed from the Bambi?

The frame width on your trailer is 57 7/8 inches.

The 2006 is wider than that.

The mounting brackets cannot be moved without damaging the rubber rods, plus the overall width of the newer axle is much to wide for your 63.

Sorry.

The axle was removed because the owner built a custom motor home useing the Bambi for the hull. He put it on a new van. Boy was it cool looking!
