Just bought our first AS. Been camping in a number of other brands, but always wanted a 'silver bullet'. It's a 1970 27' Overlander, in very good shape, Bought it from the son of the original owner....The owner was in his late 80's and just couldn't tow it anymore. She needs some love but we will provide that, going to do a total resto on it.
Appreciate this site, already got a few great answers to some questions..

Congrats! We live in Olympia near the WA Land Harbor. http://www.washingtonunitwbcci.org/ We bought ours in Sep 09 and are finishing up to go to the International. If you are interested you will find the harbor is full of individuals that have owned airstreams for many years. Many own vintage trailers. They just did not replace them. [smile] They have been more than helpful to us. Of course this site has been a great help as well!
howco welcome! JLJustice thank you for the link! I have been searching for an Airstream club here in Washington, I will take a look at their site. Hope to see you on the road!
