Hello from the great north wet

Yes, I intended to leave off the 's' in west...

I recently was given a 1978 Safari 23 in exchange for some restoration work on a friend's boat.

I have already spent 6 months living in it while helping build a house and found some real issues with using this trailer for extended habitation, the lack of a real bed being the most pressing. After a couple weeks I removed the front bench/bed, the table and the curved cabinets at the front of the trailer and built a basic full sized bed frame. I intend to build cabinets underneath the bed to make up for the lost storage.

While this makes sleeping much more pleasant, I now need to build a dinette so I have someplace to eat. I will be reading what all of you have done, and asking for advice as I go on.

Welcome to the forums!
But I have news for you - it's not just the N/W that is wet, we're getting pounded down here in CA. I'm not complaining, we need the rain, and unlike my wife I like it for a change. Our first big storm of the year, biggest since '05 so they say.
Thanks for joining us, this site is a lifesaver.
