Cool Hello from Texas and Colorado!

Hi everyone. We are going to pick up our “new to us” Sport 22FB this coming week. We are so excited! We just sold a small Class A motorhome and this will be an adjustment coming from auto leveling, ice maker, and lots of storage. But we’ve always wanted an AS and we are so looking forward to meeting the community. Any suggestions for downsizing would be great! See you on the road.

Welcome from New Hampshire

Hi - Welcome aboard from New Hampshire! Glad you found us.

We've got friends in a Class A so you make those mental notes of what's different between the two. I say it's like having a basement for storage with them.

We just pack a little lighter, little smarter and don't try to bring all the accessories along. Although there are folks who do regardless. Experiment close to home, see what works and adjust as needed.

Enjoy making memories on your adventures!

Greetings from a fellow Coloradoan and welcome to the Airstream community. Going from motorhome to a travel trailer is a significant change, but I think you will enjoy it. Towing a trailer here in the mountains takes some practice, but the main thing is to keep the speeds down and you will be fine. We have had an Airstream since 2005 and I now consider vintage Airstreams my retirement hobby. Keeps me busy.

Use these Forums to answer any questions you may have as you transition to a travel trailer. Lots of folks here are very happy to help a new owner. We all were at one time of course.

Congrats and welcome from another Colorado Airstreamer, although I was born and raised in Texas!
