Hello from Pflugerville Texas

Keith and Barbara here, a friendly Howdy to all. As many here have done the Wife and I are considering the purchase of our first Airstream. We are looking forward to all the wonderful information in the forum.

Welcome to the group. What year AS are you considering? Obviously I’m into the older vintage. Whichever way you go, there are a lot of people on the Forums that can answer just about any question you come up with. Good luck, Bubba

Hi Bubba and thank you for the welcome. Currently we have been looking at a dealer 2018 International Signature 28RB. We had tried the eBay and crazy craigslist listing for a deal; both are full of scams. Lucky we found this forum and with hopes to better inform us to make our decision. Located the forum classified and has lead to some great listing so far. So in short we are open to an older model if one is good shape. Only worries we have are the problems with rotten floors from leaks. Mechanicals can be replaced with little to no effort.

Howdy from Colorado: Welcome to these Airstream Forums. I have sold and purchased Airstream trailers on the classified section of these Forums. I have also "inspected" trailers for sale for potential buyers. We Airstreamers don't like nasty surprises. You are wise to consider a gently used coach as you can same some depreciation dollars. If you plan on keeping it forever, then a new one may be the way to go. Either way, most folks will advise you pick the size you need in the future, not the size you think you want now. Bigger is usually better, but it depends on your planned use.

Our 1986 Limited has been in the family since new. It's been 33 years and a lot of fond memories of travels here and yonder. Your new Airstream will last a very long time indeed.

David

Hi from NW Austin! You are probably closer to our 2008 International CCD 25FB than we are! We keep it out at Mustang Storage, in Round Rock.

If I can be of any help, including seeing what 'gently used' might look like, let me know!
