Hello from Ontario
Greetings to all from Ontario.
I'm a bit of a lurker here, and finally signed up as a member. I'm new to Airstreams but not to camping or travelling. I had at one time a 1974 Dodge Club Cab truck with a 1975 Trek slide in camper. I had a lot of fun with this unit for many years but it has moved on some time ago. I'm still into the vintage trucks, my current truck is a 1970 Fargo D200 Camper Special (Fargo trucks were sold here in Canada by Plymouth dealers until 1972... it's a rebadged Dodge but they are not too common these days). So to complete my travel package I'm looking for an Airstream (have a family now, so a slide in is a little small). I've done a fair bit of research and I'm continuing to learn... I'm thinking around a '65 to '70 something... probably around '28... trying to keep the vintages close
Anyways I'm hoping to learn from the experts here and maybe in time be able to contribute to the wealth of Airstream knowledge
Looking forward to great discussion with everyone here.
Kevin

Check out the classifieds here. Lots of for sale ads.
I've been gone for some time from Toronto but my Mom lives in Lindsay.
Rest of the family is now in Brantford.
Welcome to Airforums!

Good day Kevin. It is a stormy morning in Burlington here today. Glad we are not driving the 400.
My sister lived in Barrie many years ago but the city has grown quite a bit since then. Good luck with your data search on this site.

hi kevin
welcome from another ontarian! good luck in your search! I think you will find there is much more availability in the U.S., and importing a used trailer to Canada is not difficult. As long as you are willing to drive a little! Also, before you go too far just to look at one, get one of the volunteer inspectors on this forum to check it out for you. Here is the search page, enter the state and the inspector type.

Hey, Kevin, welcome to airforums.com! Sounds like you have an interesting tow vehicle already, and this is a good time to start looking around for an Airstream, there are lots of them asleep around the province.
If Barrie's weather is like Aurora's, I hope you don't have far to go to work! It's scarey bad out there today!

Welcome from near Stratford, Ontario. We have enjoyed our Airstream life for over 10 years. Right now I have 3 that we use and 1 for working on. I have this Argosy for sale right now. It's in great shape and ready to use.
Let me know if you need advise with any trailer you find.

The outside pictures are from before I painted it. It now has black trim around the bottom and front A frame, to match my truck. The goucho came frome someone who made their's into a front dinette. It fit right in place of the original and even left the original drawers under it.
The price is in the add $8500.

Thank you all for your welcomes...
Doug you have a very nice unit there, we may consider an Argosy when we are ready to buy. I was thinking sometime in the spring.
Aage: I'm a shift worker, 4 days on and 4 off. I don't have to be anywhere until Sunday, thank goodness. I'm about 5 minutes away from work anyhow.
Redstart: I have been looking around just about everywhere including the eastern U.S. and I'm not afraid of travel for the right trailer. I have some experience with vehicles... I have been involved in local stock car racing for many years (hence the user name ) and hope to learn what and where to look on Airstreams so I could help myself and other users here.
I hope that maybe some of us can meet someday out on the road and maybe have a cold one by the fireside Camping people I have found are some of the best people you could ever meet.

It is actually a custom AMC Pacer I built up back in the 80's. If you click on my images and go to page 2 you can read all about it.
