Hello from NorCal!

Hey Airstreamers-

Been looking at small travel trailers for several years now and its time to consider the Bambi my wife and I have been dreaming about over the years.

We're of the weekender / intermittent longer trips variety and and plan to purchase a TT soon.

So, look forward to learning more from the vast knowledge base this forum presents and making the dream happen.

Cheers!

Howdy neighbor to the north.

Best to you in your search for the perfect Airstream.

Just remember to make sure you both fit on the bed comfortably and that you both are comfortable in the throne room too.

If you can't "sit" and sleep in it. You won't be happy.

Oddly for the wife and I. The 16 footer had a better floor plan and comfort than the 19 footer. Floor plan is everything.

Yes, we have courtesy parking for you. About an hour North of Los Angeles.

Howdy Goin' Camping! Appreciate the great input. Fully agree floorplan / throne room comfort is key. Definitely prefer the smaller scale 16RB. But, ultimately must ensure the 'throne room' works for all beyond 'day 1'. Will let you know how the search goes. Definitely looking forward to a SW trip. Cheers!

Welcome from Colorado: As it is said here in these Forums, buy your second Airstream first Many folks start small and then spend extra for more room.

I spend very little time in the throne room. I don't like the wet bath layout so I don't use the shower. The bed is very important. Some like twins so if you have to go during the night, you don't have to crawl over your loved one.

Most important to me is comfort on a rainy afternoon or evening in the trailer. Comfortable sitting is #1 for me.

I am only one of 100,000 opinions you get on selecting a small camper. Discussions give you different perspectives in your decision process.

Thanks Brian! Appreciate your insight and we do plan more ‘test’ drives of the smaller TTs. Cheers!

We just got our 1st AS in June, a 22FB Bambi Sport - and it fits perfect for us and our 4-legged traveling companions. You will learn a lot from everyone on the forum - we sure have!
