Hello from Memphis TN

Just purchased our 1983 Airstream Excella last week! For the most, not to bad shape for the age. I've spent most of a week in the afternoons and weekends going over it. Everything working good so far. Did find the shower area leaking when water ran down the exterior wall, but I'm caulking and going over any possible point i can find where it might leak. I still have a lot to do to get it to the point i want it, but isn't that the fun of restoring a unit like this. Going camping this weekend just to see how it will do. I have a number of questions to ask in later posts and it is really great to see all this information from the members out there. Plan to use a lot of the advise thats been given!

Hey TRMILLER, Hope you like the Airstream alright. I spent my teen age years going to the concerts in your city from out of Tupleo and would go watch wrestling! Ha! I miss Memphis a lot and tell people about how Memphis has a street noise law, that makes Memphis so incredibly quiet. I miss Memphis and the area. WELCOME TO THE FORUMS and enjoy fixin er up.

Welcome to the family. We had a get together this weekend at Bolton Palooza. Managed to to get together 5 Airstreams from tne area, 2-66's 3 70's. Had a blast stay in touch we are planning a Airstream only repair and refurbish weedend soon.
