Smile Hello from Florida with an Almost-New Bambi 22'

So I've been a lurker on the Forums since July when we picked up our barely used 2019 Bambi 22'. Big thanks to all the members sharing their knowledge and experience. Also, a big thanks and hat off to the sysadmins for organizing the Forum so well on a solid and easily navigable platform.

So far we've been out once without any mishaps, and we have several short trips planned in the coming weeks. Major short term goals are to relax while towing and backing (and remaining vigilant, of course), be comfortable and organized inside and outside, and mostly to just have fun. Long-term: become proficient and comfortable while dry-camping and take longer trips.

I'll be posting my first "technical" query in the Bambi forum shortly, seeking an answer I have not been able to find. But before I did that, thought it might be best to say hello in the intro area.

Greetings from the Sunshine State!

Congratulations! I had one of those and really liked the size. (The wife wanted more storage.) Enjoy your travels. Have you camped much?

Not much. We tent camped years ago as newlyweds and up until our son got to middle school. Rented a Class C RV a couple times for Alaska and Southwest vacations in early 2000's. Thought at the time it would be great to own one, then got cool to the idea until last month.

Bought the Bambi the first time we saw it, like, literally, on the spot. Also, the only RV we looked at. Just started shopping on the Internet, and this one was being offered locally by a dealer. Story we got was original owner jumped to a Class A after camping in this one just once. It looks like it. Pristine inside and out. We were partly influenced by friends who started with a 16' then recently jumped to a Flying Cloud. Glad we jumped on it.

Welcome George, and we too have a slightly used 2018 22FB Bambi Sport. Like you we've had her out once and have another trip coming up next week. This group has been great in providing a wealth of info for us first time AS'rs.

Have fun!
